The chances of you reading this are slim. But there are some words that need to be said. I know things have not always been perfect with us. No excuses, I made mistakes. The bottom line is that I have always been, and always will be here for you when ever you need, unconditionally. That is what love is all about. How could I ever think any other way, you are my daughter. Admit it or not you are my twin born 20 years later. I am proud of you for all your accomplishments and only hope for your happiness. Travel the world and make a great name for yourself. But don't forget to have fun. If you love people slow down long enough to allow them to come along side you.

Summertime
Schools are breaking for summer everywhere. It will not be long until you hear these famous words "Mom I'm bored". It has only been a few days and the kids are restless for activity. Check the list out above, post it, point them in this direction. Keep their brain active. Kids are like us, if they go to sleep for 90 days they will set new habits and they will lose the ability to absorb new information. Keep their minds active and they will continue to learn. When the school year starts they will not have to warm their brain up to get going.

Happy 80th Birthday Hal
Just so you know we are not on this earth to walk alone. I can't tell you what to believe. I am not here to judge anyone. What I will say is the right friends in your life can change you and enhance your life. One of my dear friends is turning 80 today. Hal D Roper has been many things to me over the past few years. I am always excited to spend time with wise people. If you have lived 80 years you are wise enough to have lived 80 years. You have seen things that could or would or will never be seen again. The great part is sharing. It is easy to understand how youngsters could sit around and listen to elders. The stories of hunting, fishing and camping in the wild. It reminds me that we are adventurers. It keeps me humble. Remember that when you are driving to work and someone a little older driving in front of you, going way too slow for your liking. Give them respect, they have earned it.
You will be there one day!

Strive for a balance.

Far too often we forget the simple things that made us who we are today. We feel we have to be someone else around our family.
