Remembering Zig Ziglar

Remembering Zig

"Make failure your teacher, not your undertaker".

"Make today worth remembering".

"If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time".

"You never know when a moment or a few sincere words can have an impact on a life".

"Failure is an event not a person"

"The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because you think you can only do a little".

Zig Ziglar

With the passing of Zig we need to remember a couple of the key statements that he has shared:

"You can have everything in life that you want if you just give enough other people what they want".

"Of course motivation is not permanent.  But neither is bathing: but it is something you should do on a regular basis"

"Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem.  We all have 24 hour days"

"Among the things you can give and still keep are your work, a smile, and a grateful heart".

"Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly before learning to do it well"

Manage Your Emotions

In order to maximize your potential and perform at your best, you must tap into the power of your mind and learn to manage your emotional state.  Your state of mind directly affects your abilities and  behavior, as well as the vibe you send to others.  Thus, as a professional Salesperson, your emotional state not only impacts your sales skills, but also the relationships you create with your staff and your customers.

Turn up the heat

In your life "you" are responsible
for your results.

"Time to turn up the heat"!

What is it that you want?
Don't run out of time wanting,
make something happen.

One Degree

I like to talk about effort.
How much effort is 1 degree more than you offer each day?
What does that even mean?

Here are a few examples of the Difference One Degree makes:

Water is hot at 211,
Water boils at 212 degrees, turn to steam and can move Trains.

One degree on the race track,
At the Indy 500 the 10 year difference average speed was seperated by just 1.5 Seconds.
What did that mean to the drivers?
1st place paid $1,278,813 and 2nd place paid $621,321.
A difference of $657,492 for 1.5 seconds.

What would one degree look like on your job?
One more up, one more up logged, one more phone call?

To get what you have never had,
you have to do something you have never done...

"A coach isn't as smart as they say he is when he wins, or as stipid  when he loses"

Defining Sales

One Definition of Selling
is an Act of Converting another person's
way of thinking so they will take the
necessary action to buy.

Also it is the art of providing the customer
enough logical reasons to enable them
to act upon their emotional desire to buy.

20% Logic and 80% Emotions

Right Brain Vs Left Brain

This is great, think about it.
Are you a logical person?
Or are you an emotional person?
What side of your brain do you use?

If you are using your Right Side of your Brain:
Do you have Holistic Thoughts?
Do you use intuition, Creativity, Art and Music?

If you are using the Left Side:
Do you have Analytic Thoughts?
Do you use Logic, Language, Science and Math?

So are you a Right Brain or Left Brain Thinker?

Internet and Technology

Would love some feed back from you,
please answer these questions.

"If you were shopping for a vehicle over the internet":

1. What information would you like from the dealer?

2. Would you like to know if there were options available?

3. Would you like to discuss options or just have them in writing?

4. What would make you want to talk to the dealer?

5. Have you ever shopped for a vehicle on-line?

6. How early in your shopping for a vehicle would you start?

Failure

I never see failure as failure! It is only a step to success.

I never see failure as failure! It is only a way to learn and improve.

I never see failure as failure! It is only a chance to move closer to my goals.

I will never be judged by the number of times I fail. I will only be judged by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed directly relates to the number of times I fail and keep going.
