Our aging friends

Do  your pets make your house a home? Do they add to the warmth on those cold rainy days? As I watch my Jake age, he is 14 years old, it causes me to pause and just be thankful for the days he gives back to the family. It is my responsibility to make sure his needs are fullfilled. It is also my responsibility to keep him from pain. I just hope that I am as good an owner as he is a puppy.
We lost our dear Blanca almost a year ago when she was 18. We still feel her presence in the house. Rarely a day goes by that we don't speak of her. I believed she loved us with her whole little heart. I hope she knows the love we had and still have for her.

Walking the dog

I was reminded once again how
little time we get with our
loved pets.
A friend lost a puppy.
Bailey was 14.
I know he was loved.
It is always sad for me
to read these stories.
What is the right thing
to say at that time?
Is there a right thing to say?
My Jake is turning 14 today.
How long do we have?
As long as he wants to
stick around.
Love you Jake,
miss you Blanca.

Are you wealthy

Now let's be honest.
We would all rather be in a room
full of loving friends.
Than have this pile of money.
Money does not fix life.
Does not hurt your effort.
Just don't forget what is really important.
Have a great attitude today.

What would Christmas be
without loved ones?
What about something under the tree?
I hope you have all you desire this Christmas.
Just don't forget it is not about the presents under the tree.
I hope your house is filled with love.
From the Marvel Family.
